Emily grew up in California and did her undergrad at MIT in Brain and Cognitive Sciences, and is now a second-year grad student in Systems Neuroscience, interested in emotion, attention, and motivation. Outside of lab she projects 35-mm films for the MIT Lecture Series Committee, bikes and volunteers around Boston, and plays random stringed instruments. Emily received a NSF Graduate Fellowship.
