Justin Kinney

Justin Kinney was formerly a postdoctoral fellow in the Computational Neurobiology Laboratory led by Terry Sejnowski at the Salk Institute for Biological Studies in La Jolla, California where he developed three-dimensional reconstructions of brain tissue from serial section electron microscopy images. He received his Ph.D in Bioengineering from the University of California San Diego under the advisement of Dr. Sejnowski. Originally trained as a Mechanical Engineer at Georgia Tech, Justin designed robots for manufacturing for Danaher Precision Systems in Salem, NH before beginning his doctoral research. He currently works on strategies for neural signal acquisition and analysis.
