Jerzy Szablowski

Jerzy, during his time in the lab as a UROP, worked on novel optically-controlled signaling pathways. Jerzy was born in Warsaw, Poland, and came to the US to attend MIT, where he majored in Biological Engineering. During his time at MIT, he was involved in research in the Langer and Jasnoff labs doing genetically encoded functional contrast agents for MRI. During his last two years of college he worked in Synthetic Neurobiology group on light-activated cellular signaling pathways. He then went on to graduate school at Caltech.
